Common Name(s): Apricot Graptoveria, Apricot Candy

Origin: A cultivated hybrid, created from a cross between Echeveria and Graptopetalum species.

Description:
Graptoveria ‘Apricot’ is a stunning hybrid prized for its warm, sun-kissed hues and compact rosette form. Its thick, fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves display a beautiful blend of soft grey-blue or light green bases that gradually warm to peachy-apricot tones at the tips, especially when exposed to bright sunlight. The rosettes remain compact, typically reaching up to 8 cm across, making them ideal for small pots, fairy gardens, or mixed succulent arrangements. In cooler months, the apricot coloration often intensifies, adding a welcome splash of warmth to winter windowsills. This slow-growing succulent freely produces offsets, forming attractive, colourful clumps over time. In spring or summer, mature plants may send up slender stems bearing delicate, star-shaped flowers in pale yellow or soft peach tones.

Care:
☀️ Light: Prefers bright, direct to indirect light. Provide at least 4-6 hours of sun daily to maintain compact growth and vibrant apricot hues. Protect from harsh afternoon sun in hotter climates.
💧 Water: Drought-tolerant. Water thoroughly using the “soak and dry” method, allowing the soil to completely dry out between waterings. Reduce watering significantly in winter.
🌱 Soil: Requires a gritty, well-draining succulent or cactus mix. For best results, add extra pumice, perlite, or sharp sand to ensure sharp drainage.
🌡️ Temp: Protect from frost. Keep above 5°C (41°F). Hardy to light frost only when kept dry.
🌸 Flowering: Produces pale yellow or soft peach flowers on slender stems in spring or summer.

Pet Friendly: ✅ Non-toxic – Generally considered safe for cats and dogs, though ingestion may cause mild stomach upset.

Propagation: Easily propagated from leaf cuttings or offsets during the growing season.
